Austenwood Residents Enjoy an Autumn Day Out at Denham Country Park
Residents from Austenwood Care Home made the most of the autumn sunshine this week with a visit to Denham Country Park, joined by members of the Lifestyle Team.
The group travelled in the home’s minibus for the short trip before setting off on a relaxed walk through the park. The cool air and changing colours made it a pleasant afternoon to be outdoors. Residents took their time along the paths, stopping to watch children play and dogs running by the river.
Sammi from the lifestyle team said, “It’s amazing to be able to just jump in our own minibus and go for a walk. The difference it makes to everyone’s day is huge.”
One resident added, “I feel young again. What a great day, thank you.”
Trips like these are a regular part of life at Austenwood, where residents can enjoy time outdoors while still being part of the local community.
