Austenwood’s “Wear It Pink” Quiz Night Raises £156 (and Counting!) for Breast Cancer Awareness
Austenwood Nursing Home recently turned pink for a great cause, hosting a fun-filled “Wear It Pink” Quiz Night to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer NOW. Residents, families, and staff joined together for an evening of laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit – all while supporting a cause close to many hearts.
The event saw everyone dressed in their best shades of pink, from vibrant accessories to full-on themed outfits. Teams put their knowledge to the test across a range of quiz categories, with plenty of light-hearted moments and a few surprise questions along the way.
So far, Austenwood has proudly raised £156, with donations still coming in. Every penny goes towards Breast Cancer Now, helping to fund vital research and provide life-changing support for those affected by breast cancer.
“It was a wonderful evening, and everyone really got into the spirit of it,” said Deputy Manager, Karen. “It’s amazing to see how our community comes together to make a difference – and have a great time doing it!”
Austenwood would like to thank everyone who joined the quiz, donated, and helped organise the event. Together, they’ve shown that even small actions can make a big impact.
Donations are still open, and anyone wishing to contribute can do so via our fundraising link – because at Austenwood, we believe in caring not just within our home, but within our wider community too.

Every bit of pink, every laugh, and every pound raised brings us one step closer to a future where everyone with breast cancer lives — and lives well. 💗
