Can we get a Yee-Haw?! Gerrards Cross care home invites community to party
We are opening our doors to the local community to celebrate a summer party extravaganza, whilst raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
This year’s summer party is being held on Saturday 12th August between 2 and 5 pm and residents and staff are welcoming people of all ages to join them.
With the theme of country and western, as chosen by residents and their relatives, guests are encouraged to put on their best checked shirts and be ready for some boot tapping fun.
Singer Nik Stoter, a regular and popular visitor at Austenwood, will add a musical touch to the afternoon between 2:30 and 4:30 pm.
We are also hosting a raffle to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity close to the residents’ hearts.
Home manager, Corina Andreescu said: “We have been very lucky to receive donations in the form of prizes from many local businesses, relatives, and staff members. We have already sold £120 worth of raffle tickets and are welcoming more.
“All of us at Austenwood are very excited for the summer party and looking forward to welcoming people from the local community into our home”.
The summer party is free for everyone to attend and visitors can enjoy the free entertainment, food, drink and have the opportunity to win one of the lovely raffle prizes.
If you would like to be part of the festivities at Austenwood, feel free to drop by on the day.
