A Special Wedding Blessing for Margaret
Weald Hall Care Home recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting a beautiful wedding blessing ceremony, allowing our resident Margaret to share in her granddaughter Lauren’s special day.
A day so magical it caught the attention of the BBC! Read the full article here.
Lauren and her husband Jack celebrated their wedding earlier in Sussex, but knowing Margaret couldn’t attend, we came up with the idea to bring the wedding magic to her so she could experience the occasion firsthand. So, with generous planning and thoughtful touches from our team, a blessing was organised right here in the care home.
Margaret, dressed elegantly in pink with a fascinator, beamed as she shared a dance with her granddaughter. Our staff members went above and beyond, arranging a singer, decorating the dining area and providing a delicious three-course meal for all the guests.
Heartfelt Praise for Exceptional Care
Margaret’s daughter Debbie, who attended with family, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the care and kindness shown by our team.
“It’s not just a care home – for the residents that are there, this is their forever home, the care home is more of an extension of our families rather than a care home,” she added.
“They treat them like their own. Everybody is so welcoming, we know everybody by name, they are an amazing care home.”
The blessing included traditional wedding moments like the first dance, cake cutting and plenty of smiles, creating unforgettable Magic Moments for Margaret and her family. At Weald Hall, we’re proud to create moments like these that bring happiness, warmth and togetherness to our residents and their loved ones.
